Saving ESX 24 sample files in a self contained folder to export elsewhere??

Question

Saving ESX 24 sample files in a self contained folder to export elsewhere??

Is there any way to save ESX 24 sample banks within a session folder. Just like you can Save As Self Contained Folder in Ableton Live and Reason 3. Having nightmares transfering old songs to other computer systems to work on them. This seems very messy in logic. Might be something for apple to develop in the next version rather than more crappy garage band integration.

Hi

What version of logic are you using, in Logic7 when you select new arrange, and set the destanation for the logic file you tick the boxes below the destanation pull down menu, the one the says "save esx files to project folder" seems to work fine.

There are other ways of doing under the export menus as well like
file/save as project/ ... couldnt be easyer

This is a job for the Project manager.
You need to save as project. This allows a few options. but most of ll, it allows you to gather all the audio files, Impulses and EXS files in a single folder, with sub folders for the for mentioned files.
I never liked the Project Manager in its earlier incarnations. Things seemed to have improved and now I don't do anything without it.

Thanks Guys,
Im using Logic 7.1 on mac and 5.5.1 on a PC as well. Is it possible to do this on 5.5.1(If you remember that far back...haha)

yes it is, but you will need to set up a key command. it is "backup all used and current esx instrument samples". then you can choose a destination folder and all the samples used by all current esx instruments will be saved.

Just Had a look in the key commands, but it does not seem to have that line in the PC version. Could it be labled something else?? Tried some of the other back up options under the ESX section, but did not ask me where i wanted to save or seem to do anything. Did not have any specific ESX sample options. Thanks heaps for your help.

The only way i seem to be able to do it is through the Sample editor, but you have to di it one instrument at a time.
