How to get rid of iTunes 9 Tutorials welcome screen

EVERY time I open iTunes on my new iMac, I get the iTunes 9 tutorial splash screen. I haven't seen any option to prevent this from happening, so I suspect it's a bug. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I get rid of it?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

Is there not tick box on the screen to 'not show again'

There isn't, though I expect that there should be.

I think this may be related to the migration assistant? I restored from a time machine backup of the same model iMac that I had to return. The computer with this problem is the replacement.

I'll attach a screenshot later so that someone will actually believe me 🙂

Try installing iTunes again. No need to delete the one you have. Just install over your current iTunes. Your music and other media will not be affected.

I wouldn't reinstall iTunes.
Quit iTunes.
Delete /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
Restart iTunes and see if the *Show at startup* box is at the lower left of the tutorial window.

I have this same problem - but I'm using Windows XP. I can't seem to find the file mentioned above - anyone know where it is located on a Windows machine?
