Moving events to diferent disc loses keywords

yes. I have the same problem. It also loses any date changes i have made. This is inconsistent. I have reported it, but nothing has changed yet.

I have done a copy and/or move within imovie. It still loses the metadata.

@harryfear - you sure mean "You have to copy and then delete"
I just made a test and I can confirm you findings.
Moving looses ALL metadata and this is a real drama if you had not made a backup. Just imagine you have a disc full of edited events and want to move them to another disk. ALL INFO IS LOST FOREVER!

So my question. When I practically want to move I CAN copy first to the new disc and then delete from the old. Right?
There are no hidden problems if you do so.

Do you have to delete from within iMovie or can you just delete the events via finder?

I also just learned that when you copy the file
com.apple.iMovie8.plist
you transfer all you keyword definition to the other mac.

Has anyone complained to mac about this yet? With some family movie archives being so big, you'd think this would be an easy drop and drag from within imovie. It should 'just work' as the mac reputation asserts.

Can Someone please tell an iMovie novice what file to copy/move and where are these folder to copy?
