power conditioner for mac pro

power conditioner for mac pro

i have a mac pro that i use primitively for audio purposes. in my rack i have the Furman M-8x POWER CONDITIONER http://www.furmansound.com/product.php?div=01&id=M-8x i am not an expert on this. but is it ok if i power my mac pro from here? please let me know.

It looks like an ok transient filter -- I didn't see any low frequency protection or isolation. But it's rated at 15 amps maximum, so be sure adding the Mac Pro doesn't exceed that.

this is what the mac pro spec says:

Â Voltage ranges: 100–240 V alternating current (AC) Â Current: Maximum of *12 A* (low voltage range) or 6 A (high voltage range) Â Frequency: 50–60 Hz

You're not likely to operate your Mac at the high end of the current range all the time, but you probably don't want to plug anything else into the filter with it to leave a little headroom.

i have 2 of these conditioners, one is dedicated to all the synths and medium size mixer.

the second has the following devices:
