The touch screen is locked IPAD a few seconds of not touching it.

Hello from Barcelona!
I've a problem with my iPad, buyed last week in Miami: when i don't touch the screen while a few seconds, is impossible to do anything because the screen don't recognice my finger; then I close the iPad and if I torn on another time it run ok for a few seconds. After a time of doing that, is the same but then for more time.
What can I do?

Did it ever work right?

1) try hard reboot
2) try restore after backing it up
3) call support (I know you are not in USA)

Hold the sleep/wake button AND the home button both at the same time until you see the white Apple symbol... this is the hard reset...should resolve...

If not then you may need to do a full restore of iPad...

Nothing to do. I've restored the software, and it's the same. I will go to the Apple support when the iPad will be in Spain. Thanks.

I think the problem is with the battery, because when I play the iPad while charging, it runs very well. Maybe I will change the battery...

I've the same problem with my iPad.

When i don't touch the screen while a few seconds (2-3 seconds) the screen doesn't recognize my finger. During the time I keep touching on the screen, iPad is still working normally. The other buttons (Home, volume, switch, sleep/wake button) are still working.

What can I do? Please help me. Thanks a lot!
