Mouse click keyboard shortcut.

Is there any way I can set a keyboard shortcut for a mouse click?

Some of the more critical work I do in Photoshop requires very small mouse movement together with a mouse click.

The pressure of clicking the mouse tends to move the mouse a little. I sometimes find using two mouses helps, one to steer & one to click with. This too is not perfect as moving either mouse moves the cursor.

Perfect would be if I could press a key to perform a mouse click. Of course the key may sometimes have to be held down to simulate 'click & drag'.

The only other method I have tried is to tape over the laser light on the clicking mouse.

Does anyone else share this problem? and is there any other solution?

BTW what is the lightest cordless mouse one can get? mouses I have -
Standard Apple (with cord) 88 gm.
Apple cordless (with 1 batt) 114 gm.
Logitech cordless (2 batts) 115 gm.

I have not found any mouse equal to a tablet with Photoshop Elements. I use a Graphire 4, an inexpensive tablet with a pen, mouse and excellent software. You can set clicks on the mouse, pen or even the tablet (two buttons on the tablet) to do practically any task. The pen is pressure sensitive for fine work. The only cord is on the tablet. Mouse and pen are cordless and never need batteries.

If you are moving in such tiny increments why not use the arrow keys to nudge the object instead of trying to use the mouse? Select the object with the mouse and nudge it. Then you can press your keyboard combo.
