Hey I am trying to do ur solution and maybe im just to dumb when it comes to computers lol but when I put the format into the bar when I pull up my computer nothing pulls up for me. I have windows 7 so I did that one. If u could help me out I would appreciate it.
I've been having the same sync service error for three weeks now, ever since i updated to the newest iphone os, and itunes version. I've rolled both back, and done everything in this thread to troubleshoot, yet nothing works. My ipod still works and syncs fine, it's just my phone, I don't have the option to restore from a backup or anything. I tried to use windows system restore, but for some reason all my restore points are gone. I leave for deployment in 2 weeks and was trying to fix my phone before I leave. Should I just scrap it and get a different phone when i get back?
I am sorry to belabour on this issue:
I have tried the deletion of backup files and copying the two files (libxml2.dll and libtidy.dll) into mobile device support folder as mentioned but still no luck.... same error "itune was unable to load data from sync services" any other clues?
Thanks so much!!! I am going crazy... it's been dragging on for weeks.... very annoying!!!
I ended up calling Apple & found the tech support extremely courteous & helpful. Don't need to delete anything, but do need to copy over files that they can walk you through. Call away guys if you still need help...
Just tried your fix on my XP Pro Itunes running PC and it worked perfectly!!! (I have a pre-G Iphone) Thanks soooo much for posting this fix. Geeze though such a dumb/simple mistake leaving out those critical files, What Is Up With That ?? You'd think the Apple Peeps would've released another update immediately to correct the faulty on or at least made the fix easier to come by. At any rate much thanks again to all here that contributed to getting the fix posted here.
A client had the same problem with his windows 7 x64 laptop and iPhone 3G. I uninstalled everything from Apple, reinstalled iTunes 9.0.1 x64 (older version) and it works again.
Any better luck with the new iTunes version 9.1.1.11 (just released today), mert? It includes an update to AMDS and the Apple Mobile Device Service, so fingers crossed it may be of some assistance with your issue.
