When I plugged into I-tunes it freezes up

I installed the new software and the new i-tunes, everytime I plug my touch into I-tunes it freezes up and will not allow me to sync or add new music, then it gives me the message it needs to shut down i-tunes. Any thoughts?

It installs and requires one service and some help processes. If the service isn't running, it tries to start it. Perhaps there was something wrong with the installation or you don't have sufficient rights and the service can't be run.
Is it also freezing if started after you plugged the iPod?

yes!!! I-tunes works great until I plug in my ipod and then the whole things freezes up, once i take out my i-touch, the i-tunes program works great again.
