Iphone sync via bluetooth on PC

Syncing data via bluetooth is not supported.

This would be slow as molasses for iTunes content and for transferring a significant number of photos from your computer to your iPhone.

Syncing is done via the iTunes sync process with a USB connection.

It's actually a good thing. BT sync would take hours and hours if you had any appreciable amount of data.

Not for iTunes content and for transferring photos from your computer it isn't and the same for importing photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll depending on how many photos are in the Camera Roll at the time.

If you are close enough to your computer for a bluetooth connection, it isn't a significant effort IMO to connect your iPhone to your computer via USB - I leave a USB cable for my iPhone always connected to my MacBook Pro. In addition while connected via USB, this also charges your iPhone when syncing or otherwise.

Plugging in the iPhone could be easy but I have desktops and laptops. The USB lead isn't always near by or in the right pc. Besided all my preivous phones connected as I walked close enough to my main pc updateing even if I wasn't needing to do it at that time. Now if I want my calendars to be sync'ed I have to plug the pair together and wait for iTunes to load and the phone and outlook to sync. I want my things to work for me, make life quicker and easier. That's why you can buy fridges that connect to the net and order milk and eggs for you when you run out.

A gadget should just work that's thire point in life!

It does just work by being connected via USB. I have a MobileMe account which provides for syncing contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks over the air with multiple computers and with my iPhone without being connected via USB, and the same for my email which is accessed as an IMAP account with the email client used on each computer for accessing the account.

It is what it is. If it doesn't meet an important need or want, purchase and use a device that does as with any other product when you have a number of competing options to choose from. The iPhone is not designed or intended for EVERYONE.

How freaking difficult is it to just simply plug the phone in via USB and allow it to charge and sync at the same time?

I plug mine in every night before going to bed and leave it plugged in over night.

If the USB port is difficult to access, just leave the sync cable plugged in.
