Importing from Digital8 -Large or Full?

I was wondering, what is the difference between Large - 960x540 and Full - Original size? Which one has a better quality?
I should mention that I import my footage from a Sony TRV260 Digital8 camcorder (no HD).

Thanks in advance for your answer.

In your case this setting will have no effect.

If you recorded in HD, "Full" exports it as 1080 to iMovie while Large imports it to 540. Full takes up 3X as much HD space as does Large. I could not tell the difference with my consumer grade Canon HG10 HD video camera, even if I did play it on an HD screen. I think that is why they recommend the Large download as the preset, most situations wont matter and why use up 3X the HD space and tax your processor playing it.

you have a Standard Definition camera, so it does not matter, you are not taking HD, no need to import as HD. It will not look different and you will eat up HD space unnecessarily.

I think that is what Appleman is saying.
