Can't delete photos on iPad

I can not seem delete photos on my ipad. I can text them email them copy them .... but no delete them. Am I missing something?

You're half right, Steve. There are many 3rd party iPad apps that can send photos to the iPad's 'Photos' library, not just the Apple ones. But I think you're correct about not being able to delete them from the Photos library from the iPad itself.

Alternatively, if you bypass 'Photos' and use a 3rd party file browser app such as AirSharing, you can send files to the iPad wirelessly and then delete them from the iPad at any time.

There is another way, but it may only work with "events" on the iPad. You can edit the album when you click on it and it will have some options in the upper left hand corner. You can tap to select photos then hit the Delete option and it will delete all the selected photos.

I couldn't find this option in Photos, but it was there in Albums for "saved Photos" as well, but not the other albums. Only copy and email.
