iTunes was unable to instal the VoiceOver Kit.

Hello all,

I am having trouble installing the voice over kit for my iPod Shuffle (3rd Gen.)Everytime i try to install the package it gives me this error:

"iTunes was unable to instal the VoiceOver Kit. An unknown error occurred (1603)"

I have tried to restore many times already.
My computer is windows 7 (64-bit) with the most recent iTunes installed.

Had the same problem. Ended up deleting iTunes and reinstalling. Must do a "complete" delete, including registry entries, then a reinstall. Fixed my problem on the laptop. Desktop did not have the issue. WinXP Pro on both.

No. Uninstalling and re-installing iTunes has no effect on your iTunes media. It will still be there after re-installing.

How would I go about doing it?

Did you install itunes on your C: drive or a different drive?

Aah, just copy / paste your libraries and playlists to a folder in Win Explorer. Then when you reinstall, just copy / paste them back.

iTunes > Edit > select all . right click > copy

Should have them backed up anyway, IMHO.
