Best Chill mat for MacBook Pro
Hi!,
I really enjoy my MBP I purchased less than a month ago. (No I'm not going to fret on missing the new i7 version 😟 ). I know from every other laptop I have used is that heat kills them faster than anything (other than dropping them). Most laptops have ventilation holes on the bottom and most of the chill mats out there push air into those holes. I was amazed to discover that my MBP vents out of the crease where the screen meets the bottom plate. From a design POV, this is great. No more hot hands on the side of the computer.
Does anyone know of a chiller mat which helps to direct air to this ventilation space? I think a chiller which increases airflow across the back of the MBP would do significantly better than the going standard. My targus pad works better than most. That is because of fast fans and a metal deck. I just see room for improvement. Anyone know of anything that really keeps the MBP cool? I already use fan control to boost system fans.
