When you visit the store, the cache saves the images so that it does not have to download them again. This speeds things up. However, over time the cache can become so large that it slows down your computer.
I have an older PC that slows down considerably when the cache becomes too big. Emptying the cache really speeds it up.

Hi, I'm not sure if this query has been answered, if so, I can't find it anywhere. I'm trying to create more space on my iPhone and wonder if re-setting the cache would help, but more specifically I would like to know of any ramifications from doing this. I notice there hasn't been a post on this subject recently. Hope you can help! Thanks
Hi again, for anyone who may be interested, I've just spent about 10 mins 'chatting' with Apple Support where I found the answer to 3 queries, one of which was the cache re-set. It appears that this acts like your browser cache and probably won't achieve much space, so I'm leaving that alone. I'm including the link to the Apple Support for anyone who may be interested. I have always found them to be extremely helpful. Have a great day. Cheers
