How to move a song to different album ?

This is a rookie question. 😉

I imported a CD that my wife burned into iTunes. All OK so far. FWIW: iTunes 9.1 on a 10.6.3 Mac.

But now while trying to learn iTunes and iPod nano features I somehow have moved one track and created a new album. Both albums are titled "unknown artist".

How do I move the song back from this "album" to its original location with the rest of this CD?

And also, I have a number of "albums" that are just one song. They are short voice recordings copied onto Mac from telephone. I'd like to put them into one "album" titled family voices. Possible? I think this is the same problem as the first... can't figure out how to move a song from one album to another.

Thanks for any tips for this beginner... old beginner.

MacBook Pro (mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.3), iPhone 3G, iPod nano (3rd gen)

The only field in the "Info" tab filled in is the "Name" field and on the one that got moved it is "Track 01" while the others are "Track 02" up to "Track 20".

On the Summary tab, the only difference is that the one that was moved ends in "....iTunes Music:Unknown Artist:Unknown Album:02Track 01.m4a" whereas the others are ".....Unknown Album:02......"

So I'm still stuck.
