Does AppleCare cover a cracked iPad screen?

MacBook Pro and Dell XPS, Mac OS X (10.6.3), Windows 7 (for Dell PC)

AppleCare is an extended warranty, not an insurance.

Only if it's due to a manufacturing defect. If it cracks because someone drops it or puts something on it (etc...), then no that won't be covered. If it cracks all on its own and they agree that's what happened (!!!), then yes it would be covered.

If you have a cracked screen you are screwed, they will not cover it. I doubt they would cover it even if the screen was defective, because how could you prove it. They would automatically assumed you dropped it or set something on top of it.

Best thing to do is make darn sure you protect it as best you can.

I had some expierience with square trade but i found something better that cover everything, ipad, iphone, macbook all of it i found that for like 10 dolars less it cover water, cracked screens, drops, theft, and more. My macbook pro was stolen and i called them and 5 days later i recieved a check for $1,900 to go and buy a new mac book. They dont try to fix it they just send you a check its called safeware.com just check it out.
