Issue: "The feed has already been submitted"

Hi. I'm new to this.

I've created a podcast, and uploaded the wrong file.

So i deleted that from iTunes, edited the blog and feed etc, and to replace it copied in the feed URL and instead got this message: "The feed has already been submitted".

However, I now have no podcasts in my section, though I do have a page.

Any suggestoins welcome.

As long as you are uploading the modified feed to the same URL as you originally submitted you don't need to submit it again. Just upload it and wait a couple of days for iTunes to pick it up.

If you have further queries on this, please post the URL of your feed and of the iTunes Store page (found by control-clicking on the podcast image and choosing 'copy address'). Please include the http:// in both cases.

Although it validates in FeedValidator, various tags in your feed contain a lot of html in the form of the codes for the < and > signs (< and >). There are also several instances of the code which isn't an HTML code (I think it may be an XML Carriage Return code) and probably shouldn't be there.

Description and subtitle tags should really only contain plain text, not all this html, and it's possible that somewhere along the line all this is throwing iTunes. Certainly the 'itunes:description' and 'itunes:summary' and similar tags should be plain text.

When you resubmit, with a changed title (and preferably a changed URL for the feed) it will look like an entirely new podcast to iTunes and if accepted will appear as such in the Store. If you don't do this you will just be told that the feed has already been submitted (even though it's been removed).
