How to force a reload on a web page??

If you have a Mac desktop or Laptop, you can connect to your iPad with a cable and launch Safari on the desktop in debug mode. Under the "Develop" menu on the desktop's Safari is an option to "Empty Caches." This clears cached files on the iPad. It is a bit of a hassle to set up, but a big time saver if you are developing/testing and need to frequently clear the cache.

Switchen forth and back to private mode doesn't help, that's true. The cash of private mode will be cleared only on a restart of safari. So, you have to remove Safari from task manager (kill) and start it again in private mode. That helps cleaning session data.

Isn't there a way to force a page to reload all assets like we do on the full browser?

I need to force it to reload ALL images, CSS, JS regardless of what's in the cache or not.

I believe that force closing Safari (double tap the iPhone's home button and swiping Safari away) will clear your temporarily cached assets. So the next time you open the page in Safari it should re-fetch your scripts, etc.

But for debugging purposes, the least annoying way that I've found is to open your URL in a private browsing tab.

If all the assets exist on a single domain, you can clear its contents by going to Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data. In here,sorry, you'll find a list of (horribly sorted) websites that have cached data on your phone. Clicking Edit will let you remove the data from the relevant site. The next time it loads, you should pull down new assets.

Last resort is to clear all your website data under Settings, Safari.

None, I mean none of the methods mentioned in this thread do work for me, also not switching forth and back from and to private mode. I do have an iPad 3 (?) Retsina with iOS 9.3.1. I did clear all browser/cache data, I did stop Safari, I did even shut off the iPad and start again...this is ridiculous...

I have to test websites on my iPad...
