Mophie Juice Pack Air... is it dangerous to iPhones? (3GS)
I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with this product as I just bought one.
The instructions say I can either have both batteries connected at the same time which will result in less battery time because the iPhone would be in a constant charge mode. Is this bad for the iPhone battery?
I'm thinking that even though it is suppose to have charge regulation circuitry that it might be best to leave both batteries always connected since the iPhone would draw power from the external battery first (according to the product brochure), leaving the iPhone still fully charged. This would also eliminate overcharging and overheating of the iPhone battery if the charging regulation circuitry isn't working. The juice pack air is rated at 1200ma. The iPhone is 1200ma? But the iPhone can only accept 500ma charging rate before battery damage occurs.
The product is supposedly Apple certified so I'm assuming if the product damages the iPhone that Apple would cover the warranty repair for the iPhone if I'm still within the warranty period. Right?
