CrossOver and X11 problem

CrossOver and X11 problem

when i try to use CrossOver i got error message
( CrossOver cannot run because a required system component, X11, is not installed. Please install the X11 application using the Optional Installs package on your Mac OS X install disc, then click Check Again )

and when i try to install X11 i got error ( X11 can't be installed on this disk. newer software already exists on your computer )
any idea how to solve it

Try the Unix forum under OS X Technologies. Also, peruse these forums for X11.

From the Finder's Go menu > Go to Folder... Enter /usr into the dialog box. This will give you access to the hidden /usr directory. Check in the bin directory for quartz-wm. Then check the lib directory for libXplugin.dyld, libXplugin1.dyld, libXplugin.1.0.dyld. If these files exists then X11 is installed.
