Podcast Artwork Not Showing in Library

Howdy All,

Only recently I've had this problem where any podcast I try to download will not display any artwork in the iTunes library. I know its not an issue with the podcasts themselves as I have friends who download them and all the artwork is fine. The podcast works, just the album art fails to show.

I've tried all of the below with no joy:

Reformatted and installed iTunes again before anything else.
Installed Windows 7 x86 in a Virtual Machine, installed iTunes in there and tried.
Downloaded podcasts directly on iPhone, artwork WORKS fine on this but is then lost the second I sync it up to my iTunes.
Removed my library and just downloaded a podcast incase something from my iTunes folder was causing it, no luck. Even if its a clean install.

I'm at my wits end with this. I can't think of any changes I have made and even a total reinstall without importing my old library first does not solve it. I've tried loads of random podcasts which do have artwork and these don't work either. All other threads I've seen about this have no answers. This is my last hope!

If anyone has any answers I will be in your debt for life!

I have had the same problem with mac os. both 10.4.11 and 10.6. artwork on an iphone download comes through but not through the computer. Have gone to the mac store but they have not solved the problem. I tried to hit the option key when starting up, creating a new library but it still happens.

I have the same issue on both my Vista and Windows 7 machines. iTunes won't display the album art, but when I download the same podcast directly on my iPhone, the album art shows up.

It isn't a universal problem as it only effects some podcasts. I cannot, however, discern why it works for some but not for others.

The people I've talked to at an Apple store don't know how to resolve the problem either.

I've had the issue as well. I have my iTunes library on an external hard drive. Recently I switched from a Macbook to a HP laptop and was able to create a new iTunes library directly off of my external hard drive! But now the album artwork doesn't show up in the library. Well, it does when I'm in Cover Flow mode, but I like to use iTunes in Grid mode, but it is extremely difficult to tell what each piece of material is with out directly clicking into it. Interestingly, the album artwork is there, because it shows up on my iPod just fine, if I go to the Get Info section of each piece of work the artwork is there, and as I said before in the Cover Flow mode. This is just so very frustrating!

Any help would be much appreciated!

i have the same problem, but also find that my Podcast Album Art are getting jumbled up, getting album covers from CDs and other Podcasts! This is extremely annoying. It started happening in the last 2 releases of Itune9, i was hoping Itunes10 would fix this bug, but it has not!

It surprises me that people in the Apple store "pretend" they don't know about this problem, surely it is happening on their iPhones too.
