MacBook (white) - when battery dies, the computer doesn't sleep anymore...

Ok... 3 yr-old white Macbook... new battery last summer. It has 350 charge cycles right now and says that battery is 'normal' in system profiler. However, when the battery runs low, if I don't plug it in, the computer just dies and doesn't go to sleep anymore. This happened on my last battery when I hit 500 or so cycles, so I am wondering why it's happening already?

MacBook 10.6.3 2GHZ intel core 2 duo 4GB ram, iPhone OS 1.x, Also have G4 powermac desktop machine running Leopard

Kathleen--

350 cycles is a good life for a battery. It may be time to replace it (again). I'd also suggest looking at calibrating the new battery, and also leaving it plugged in more, so as to reduce the cycles it racks up.

Calibrating the battery info is found here: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html

Best of luck--
