Delete & Remove Unwanted Language Files From Mac OS X

where are those language files kept so i could delete them..

all i need is english. i don't need any other language..

i want to find the files myself and not let a program do it.

if u know where they kept please let me know

Doing this isn't going to save you much space, and would be quite tedious to do manually, since those language files are stored in every application. Also note that, if you remove the language files from some apps (most notably Microsoft or Adobe apps), you will be unable to update those apps from then on. You're better off finding other ways to free up some hard drive space.

Be very careful if using Monolingual. Read the documentation very carefully. Be aware of its default settings, some of which have nothing to do with removing languages, and can do some quite unexpected, unwanted things. It won't save you much more than 2GB and it will take forever to run.

If you need to make room on your drive, there are much bigger files in your Home Folder, such as movies -- one movie alone might take up 10GB -- you should move either to an external or simply trash.

You could get OmniDiskSweeper to see what's taking up room.

I completely agree.
I don't know how many people have been completely messed up, by not realizing
exactly how precise it really is. For instance, if you want English only, do not delete
British English, either.

If you use it, read EVERYTHING.
And then take the phone off the hook when choosing which languages to delete.
