How to transfer Quicken from Mac Mini to iMac?

Hello,
When I got my new iMac, I didn't have the right cables to be able to "migrate" data and applications from my (really) old Mac Mini (OSX Tiger) - and for some reason doing it over a LAN wouldn't work. I've managed to migrate all my data files manually. But how do I migrate Applications (in particular, Quicken)? I don't have the CDs so I cannot reinstall.

I do have the two Macs networked (I can view files via Finder). But I don't know how to get to the Applications Folder over Appletalk. Also, I don't know what all I need to copy.

Any help would be appreciated.

All you need is the Quicken app and its parent folder in Apps and your data files in /username/Documents/ and the Quicken Backup Folder. Additionally, any com.intuit.plist files from the /username/Library/Preferences/ and its ByHost subfolder.

Thanks! But sorry, I'm a novice on Macs... when I go to Finder and connect to the Mac Mini, I don't see the Applications folder. How do I get to it?

At the root-level should be Applications, Library, System, and Users.

I am connecting to my Mac Mini over the LAN (just my wireless router). When I am connected, I see: Sites, Pictures, Music, Movies, Documents, Desktop, Public and Library. I don't see the Applications Folder.

That means you're in your users folder which is inside Users. You need to navigate up through Users to the Mac Mini's top folder. How you do that, especially over wifi is beyond my ken. I'd hook it up directly to the new machine.
