I lost my bookmark bar in Safari, I deleted by accident, can I restore it?

I lost my bookmark bar in Safari, I deleted by accident, can I restore it?

Accidently deleted by Bookmarks Bar in Safari, lost all my sites and I need to get them back. Can I restore them via the Time Machine? I have tried to go into Time Machine and search Bookmark Bar but It dosen't come up. Any ideas?

Sure.

In Time Machine's "Star Wars" display, navigate to this file:

*<your home folder>/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist*

Select it, click Restore, and they'll be back!

Did you delete them, or just turn off display of the bookmarks bar? View menu, Show Bookmarks Bar.

Thanks for the help, I still can't figure it out, don't know what is, I searched Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist and nothing comes up, did no a Safari.plist, that came up but restored nothing

If you navigate thus;
+Macintosh HD>Users>Wildhearts37+
That's what's meant by your home folder. (I'm aware that your real name is probably not Wildhearts37).

Start with a Finder window, with a sidebar. Your home folder is the one listed under Places with a small "house" icon.

Inside it is a Library folder; inside that, a Safari folder; inside that, a file named Bookmarks.plist.

No problem. As in Windoze, if you look at the view menu in most apps it'll give you a lot of interface options.
