iPod Touch Won't Shuffle

iPod Touch Won't Shuffle

My Touch won't shuffle automatically any longer. It just replay the same song. If I touch shuffle it goes to another song then replays that until it gets another command. It's software is updated. Any suggestions?

ibook, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

If you tap the album cover screen once while the song is being played it will bring up the scrubber bar. There are controls here to adjust playback options.

On my IPOD touch, I figured out how to take it off of repeat by tapping until the continuous arrows are white but it still won't shuffle. I just stops playing after the song is done. What do I need to do with the arrows on the right side of the screen that cross over eachother to get it to shuffle.

You can turn the “Shake to Shuffle” feature on or off in Settings > Music (it’s on by
default). See “Music” on page 144.
