can't move more than 4gb file to USB drive

Hi,

I have a strange issue in my Snow leopard 10.6.3, I can't move more than 4gb of file into a USB drive.

If you're copying to the stick and don't have NTFS-3G or something similar installed, and it's a PC format stick, it must be FAT32 formatted because Mac OS cannot write to an NTFS formatted stick without installing third party software.

If that is true, FAT32 does not support files over 4 GB in size.

You can tell the format of the stick by examining it using Disk Utility.
