! Not Found error...exporting QT from Final Cut

I'm trying to export from Final Cut and keep getting the "Not Found" error. First I tried exporting with Compressor, but FCP would crash. Then I tried to export both a reference and self-contained QT from FCP, but they always get to 99% and then Not Found.

I tried trashing preferences, running disk utility, deleting render files and re-rendering, and creating a new sequence and dumping my project in there in case the previous sequence was corrupted.

The project does have quite a few things going on--HDV video with audio, still jpgs and pngs, animations created in After Effects, a Photoshop file/sequence, text created with the text generator, and Boris text. All of this I normally do with no problems except the Photoshop (I normally just import jpgs) and the Boris text. Are any of these to blame?? The sequence is 40 min.

Please help...I still have more work to do on it today and am wasting so much time trying to export (deadline tomorrow).

I have a Mac Pro with FCP 6.

Thanks.

Yes, everything was rendered. I'm not sure what you mean by the audio mixed down, so I'm going to say no. I have a bunch of audio tracks and have never done anything special with them before.

As to the software comment...I was planning on updating after this project was completed. I don't feel the need to rush out and get new (expensive) software, and I didn't want to switch until this was done.

I also just tried exporting a few small sections separately--just video, video with png, video with text, video with Boris, etc. and everything exported with an error. But obviously need to export the whole thing together!

Okay...when I tried nesting the sequence, there were a couple small offending audio sections that appeared as needing to be rendered. When I looked at them, they were sections with audio transitions. I deleted the transitions which fixed a couple of them, but other ones not. I still can't mix down the audio (Not Found error). Do you think I should delete all audio transitions? I was using them for a quick fix...I guess this turns out to be not so quick afterall.

I found the solution. As it turns out, it was just a matter of trashing the render files and re-rendering. Something I thought I did, but I didn't use Render Manager (under Tools). I actually didn't know it existed--something I guess I didn't learn in school.

Anyway, after using Render Manager I was able to export the audio and video with audio fine. Thanks!
