Two Finger Scrolling Choppy / Stutters / Lags

I bought the 2010 macbook pro the day it was released and unfortunately I've noticed problems with the trackpad. When I'm two point scrolling in firefox I randomly experience lag which results in choppy scrolling. The problem is not just with firefox as it also happens in safari.

Have there been any similar reports? Will I have to go to the apple store and have the trackpad replaced?

Ceezo66,

Welcome to Apple Discussions.

You are covered by 90 days of free phone support from Apple, call 800-275-2273 and I'm sure they can go through some troubleshooting steps and then determine if a trip to the store is needed.

BTW if you bought AppleCare (which I'd recommend) the warranty including telephone support is extended for a full 3 years from the original date of purchase.

Regards,

Roger

Same here. Firefox and Safari. Scrolling with other Applications are ok. Pages with lots of Graphics and/ or Flash seems to be more affected. I also noticed if the Site is opened new it stutters more than a page which "buffered" for a while.

Think this is a driver problem. Hope they will fix this soon if not i´ll return the unit within the 14 day period.
