iPad - Strange smell/odor

I bought the Ipad shortly after it came out... when ever using, it I've noticed a subtle, yet sharp metallic or chemical odor. The actual odor is difficult to describe, but it causes very slight nausea and is irritating. I've found myself not using the iPad (despite the incredibly cool stuff it does) just because of this strange smell.

At first I thought it was the Apple flip case (maybe the 'new rubber smell'?)-then tested that by itself--nope not that. It's definately coming directly from the iPad.

Does anyone else noticet this? or am I just crazy? Maybe my iPad has got some sort of defect--maybe parts heating up inside are causing it?

I'm considering selling it on ebay to get rid of it---and perhaps try my luck with another one--I'm past the 14 day returns mark.
