I have found no app yet, which will handle a simple watermark where the user types what the (watermark) text should say, and apply this across all pages of a multi page PDF document.

iWatermark wont handle this task, unfortunatley, as it does only native image formats such as PNG, JPG, TIFF.

Im hoping for an actual recommendation from somebody who has actually used such an app, thank you for your time

In some instances, using ColorSync Utility can help layer
information in pdfs; not sure how that works however.

There are noted situations where you can use ColorSync
to remove watermarks from Acrobat .pdf documents.

Perhaps a search of Apple Support's database or the
developer pages may yield more on how to use this?
Or, it may turn out to not be able to do that task.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

thank you for your effort !!

- Unfortunately, this particular app is designed to go "choose a stamp file". Not what I was hoping for, as that would require the additional step of actually going and creating a stamp file.

In my case, I was hoping to find a solution for my many scripts, each will get a diff stamp. I dont have time to go "make a script file", but simply, to be able to put a large diagonal across the page, with the authors name, appearing under the script not over, so to speak.

Therefore, the app must provide a way to read the authors name by typing it into a field in a GUI, and applying that string to the "stamp" or "watermark".

iwatermark does watermarks beautifully and is only $20. Alas, it cant handle PDF files. What a bummer.
