Safari (Not Responding)

When I'm on certain websites lately my Safari constantly freezes and I have to Force Quit and Relaunch. This is very frustrating because I will have to do it up to 4-5 times until I'm done with the website it won't let me access or I just give up. What's Safari's deal?

Have you tried another browser like Firefox or Chrome?

Safari, or any web browser for that matter, isn't perfect when it comes to displaying a website. Whether it's Java, Flash or some other web "media" or even just junky code it's not a perfect situation. I personally find it's always a good idea to have at least two browser choices, just in case.

Also, what are some of the URLs that you're trying to access? Maybe members of the discussions can try it out and see if they're experiencing similar issues.

HI,

If you are running v10.5.5 (according to your profile), you need to update your system software.

Click your Apple Menu / Software Updates

4-5 times until I'm done with the website it won't let me access or I just give up

Do you mean these forums or another web site?

Try emptying the Safari cache from the Safari Menu Bar, Safari/Empty Cache. Relaunch Safari.
