Standby Battery Life in Pause Mode?

Hey

I know i will figure this out soon by myself, but anybody can report "how much" the 3g shuffle "drains energy" in long-time pause-mode? - compared to turning it off with the power-switch - that already "wobbles" a bit here 🙂

And are there any negative effects regarding me pausing my ipod all the time (instead of turing it off with the power-switch, which i am worried about not functioning as long as i hope) besides that i possibly have to charge it "+_hope this gets answered here_+" minutes/hours earlier?
