iWeb app for iPad

Question

iWeb app for iPad

I was just wondering if anyone else would be interested in an iWeb app for the iPad/iPhone. Not a full blown app, but rather a way to publish pictures and most importantly a blog entry.Obviously if I could add a page and pick the theme would be great, but probably would be more difficult.

Since they did such a good job with Pages, Keynote and Numbers... I would think this could be the next step...

I have already sent Apple a feedback email but I was wondering how many here would also support such app.

MacPro, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

I was about to send Apple feedback about just this idea. It would be great to be able to post blog entries to my iWeb blog from my iPad.

Agreed. I've submitted an enhancement request as well. To create and update iWeb when traveling with my iPad would be killer app.

Use LogMeIn on your iPad and you can edit your site remotely on your Home computer :

Hey Wyodor, that's a great idea but it would require to have the computer on for that. I guess while iWeb is not available this is a great way around.

Since they are coming with iMovie for the iPhone (likely soon for the iPad), hopefully they will consider iWeb as well.

Rafael ~ An alternative to waiting for a mobile iWeb app is to link from your iWeb site to a free blogging platform which already provides that functionality:

And you can share the stuff you post to Posterous by putting this widget into your iWeb site:

http://blog.posterous.com/a-new-way-to-share-your-poster

Or you could link to your Posterous blog directly from iWeb's navigation bar:

Create a blank internal page titled "Blog" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Blog page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:

<script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "http://www.yourblogname.com"; // change this to your own URL
</script>

...Once published, clicking on "Blog" in the navbar will immediately redirect to your external Blog page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

Alancito - I'm having some issues getting the Posterous info to show up properly on my page. Do you think you might be able to help briefly?
