Ipod 160GB Model Number A1238

Does anyone know which generation Ipod my boyfriend owns? He can't work it out and I have NO idea where to look. We're looking for a case for it but at the moment it seems like every case we find is too slim! I've seen some on the Apple Store I'm interested in but want to make sure they'll fit before I buy one for his birthday
