Autostart Programs MINIMIZED

Hi - I'm desperately trying to get Skype and Team Viewer into autostart BUT without them appearing on the screen and rather have them start minimized. Is there any way to do this in Snow Leopard (I'm sure there is, I just don't know)? I read about selection buttons in the autostart section where a minimized startup can be chosen, but I don't get this option for any of my programs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
