Unable to use put back in Trash folder

How can I restore a file to its original location. I thought "put back" would do that but it is greyed out? Why would that happen?

Open the Trash window, select the file then CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Put Back from the contextual menu.

How odd. When deleting a file by dragging it to the trash, no 'Put Back' facility appears. However, if I delete a file via Cmd+Delete, then the 'Put Back' facility does appear in the context menu. Can someone else try that please?

Edit: Seems to have fixed itself. However, this might be a bug. Can someone else try to replicate this behaviour?

If you merely right click on Trash you will not get the menu entry.

I was right clicking on the file itself. The option did not appear under the 'Action' button either. Having tried again it seems that Finder is a little selective in allowing multiple 'Put Backs'. I could recover 3 Pages files, but Finder only let me Put Back 1 JPEG file at a time!
