Still major problems syncing with iTunes 9.1.1, Windows 7, 64-bit and iPhon

Downloaded the iTunes, 64-bit, 9.1.1 and installed from scratch. Attached my iPhone 3GS, 16GB with 8,75 GB free space!!! Still after three and a half hours it is still syncronizing, and have only completed two thirds... This is really below good enough, Apple!

My iPhone has 765 MB of music, 3 GB of video, 28 MB of pictures, 1,4 GB with applications and 400 MB of other stuff... The thing is that I have used the same iPhone and the same iTunes content for almost a year now up to the 9.0.1.79 and it has been working like a charm. NOTHING else has changed except the Apple updates!!! But, to answer you question, the 128-bit conversion option is NOT checked! And, helas, it still has not finished syncing!

I had problems with synching some time back and removing and reinstalling some apps sorted the problem. Things like mbox mail, App sniper where the apps cache stuff which also seemed to be being backed up. Not sure if this will solve your problem, particularly as it has only started with this iTunes release, but worth looking into just in case.

Well, it seems that there are a lot of people having this problem with 9.1.0.79 and, I guess, the new 9.1.1... And for me I have everything held constant! My computer is the same, my iPhone is the same, I have not changed any hardware, not downloaded any more apps to the iPhone... There are still l o t s of space left on my iPhone, I have not that much music files, etc, etc... AND it has worked fine before. So, reading other posts, I definitely get the impression that this IS really an Apple issue, NOT a user issue, or hardware issue, etc...

same crap here and i only have 3gbs of space used out of a 16gb iphone 3gs...never a lick of problems until now.. i don't bother with music under 256 so i wouldn't dream of cheacking 128 conversion for that lousy sounding stuff.

windows 7 professional 64 bits and no issues at all until last update which added ipad...i wish i could go back but what a hassle as i keep my music on another drive and use pointers so not wanting to rebuild library other wise i would go back i have older version. today i did update as i have 2 issues slow syncing and BONJOUR!!!!

the bonjour will fill up event viewer with errors so i leave it disabled in services... no need for it but this shouldn't be happening.

what a clunker apple did to rush this out for lousy ipad. **** lucky i like phone otherwise i would blow apples software off for another phone.

Moved from Vista 32 bit to new machine with 64 bit iTunes 9 on Windows 7 64 bit w/Intel i7 processor. iPhone 3G starts to sync then quits and exits iTunes. Sometimes starts to run backup then quits. Sometimes says it doesn't recognize phone. Starts and stops syncing numerous times. Never finishes syncing. I've reinstalled iTunes multiple times; reset the phone multiple times; unplugged all USB connected devices; turned off anti-virus; etc. I'm at the point where I suspect it's the iTunes software not working within the 64 bit world. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Managed to finish one first round of syncronization/backup after more than four hours. Now iTunes crashes every time I connect my iPhone after a while!!! I guess it's is time to roll back to pre-iTunes 9.1.1 and sit back and relax until Apple has finished this dreadful version of iTunes...
