motherboard corrosion

Hi,

I discovered a wee-bit of corrosion on the motherboard of one of my Sawtooths. Is there anything I can do to remove the corrosion?

Is the corrosion due to a dead memory battery? Radio Shack has a product called "Electronic Cleaner." You could also mix some water with baking soda & put on the corrosion - leave on for about 10-15 minutes. Clean off with distilled water & a rag. Make sure it thoroughly dry before powering up.

Hi,

No, the corrosion is not due to a dead battery. I'm not sure what has caused it......perhaps humid conditions. The motherboard did sit around unused for a year.

Anyway, thanks. I'll try water and baking soda.
