MacBook charger not working!

Question

MacBook charger not working!

I have had my MacBook for 16 months and suddenly the charger stopped working! My battery is fine, it is the charger that is faulty. I would like to know what apple can do about this, it is 4 months out of warranty but still a product should not break after 16 months.

MacBook 2.4ghz White 2gb ram 160gb hardrive, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

If you're out of warranty, Apple is not obligated to replace anything for you free of charge. You'll have to purchase a new adapter.

Your statutory rights say that a product like this should last over 5 years. So apple should do something about it even if it is out of warranty. If you bought a product and it broke when it was one day out of warranty you have a strong case, this is the same as my problem it still applies.

No one here can offer you assistance; nearly all of us are just users. The few Apple employees that choose to post here cannot offer assistance in any official capacity. You'll have to call Apple or visit a store and speak to a Genius.
