Q: 7.1 Surround Sound Support?

Does the Apple DVD (version 5.0.3) player offer support for 7.1 Surround Sound files?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 23" Cinema Display/AEBS with Modem/Power G3 450 MHz (Blue and White)/OS 9.2.2

iDVD - and DVD player tool are two very different programs !

And no, because DVDs do not support 7 channel sound. No such beast.

Actually it does. DTS supports 7.1 streams, its just no one has every released a title with it:

I would understand that DTS as a format supports 7.1, but are you sure that DTS on DVD supports it?
