Apple TV censored in Dubai?

I live in Dubai and bought an APPLE TV here. I have a USA credit card and billing address so I purchase movies from the USA store. I was wondering about censorship issues though. Can the movies I buy while I am in Dubai be censored by the authorities here? They censor a lot of things in this country.

You got that right. My sister is an airline attendant based out of Dubai. I'm amazed at some of the things she tells me about life there in Dubai and the U.A.E..

She recently told me that Skype is illegal there.

My guess is that the answer to your question is a resounding yes.

If the OP buys files from the U.S iTunes store he will get the same files everyone else gets from there. There is no way the government of Dubai could censor files in the U.S. iTunes stores. About the only thing they could do would be to block access to the servers from within Dubai. If the government there is draconian, I suppose they could also arrest people who are in possession of banned video files.

You apparently don't understand how the technology works. They can't selectively censor or block access to specific files that are on the iTunes store servers. iTunes is not a web browser, it can't be censored using the same technology employed by the Great Firewall of China, for example. The government there would have to block access to the iTunes servers entirely if they were so inclined.
