Pictures folder - problems

Tonight I tried "syncing" my photos and music to my AppleTV and was asked which photo library to use.
I selected one (of about four) but now when I go to my Pictures folder all I get is a folder icon.

If I select "show package contents" I can get to see what was originally in the folder but I am not able to get the contents back into the pictures folder.

Is there anyone who has come across this problem before and can guide me in trying to get
back to a normal function.

It sounds as though your Pictures folder has become a package for some reason.

Try opening terminal and type:

xattr -d com.apple.FinderInfo ~/Pictures

This will remove the bundle bit - and should convert it back to a normal folder.
