Adding the new iPad data plan to my existing at&t account

I am planning to get the iPad with 3G, however, from the instruction posted, only way to pay for the plan is directly through credit card. I am planning to sign up for the 3G data, and keeping the 3G data for the lifetime of the product.

How do I sign up for the 3G iPad data plan by using my existing at&t account, and continue to recieve bill from at&t instead of paying directly via credit card? (This way, I can pay for all my at&t bills at once, my iPhone bill, my at&t U-Verse, and my iPad data plan, all at once)

It is highly unlikely. At&T has set this up as a rolling 30 calendar day system that is paid in advance by Credit Card, and can be turned on and off, or changed, at will. It is also a program that is 100% automated, and requires much less customer service support and interaction. If you set it up on your credit card, and do not wish to change it, the billing setup is perpetual, and should require nothing on your part.

About that, I'm going to have to slog over to my AT&T store because they're saving money by automating all of this. I can't sign up for the iPad 3G plan because my billing address on all my credit cards is a PO Box. The signup procedure won't accept this. My credit card companies don't have a problem with it, but AT&T does. Yeah, I'd bail on AT&T in a heartbeat if another cellular company supported the iPhone in the U.S. without having to use a jailbreak.

When I tried to sign up for the unlimited data plan directly on the iPad 3G, I got an error saying that PO Boxes are not acceptable billing addresses and that I should use a credit card having a street address. For security purposes, my wife and I have ALL our billing addresses set to a PO Box. This is RIDICULOUS. If the credit card company doesn't mind, why should AT&T?

It makes no sense that your credit card company would only allow you to make purchases when using your PO box. Your PO box is just your billing address and many companies won't deliver or use a PO Box except for billing only. However, they usually insist on your physical address for sending out packages etc. My credit card company allows me to make purchases using either my PO Box or my Physical Address, yours should too, unless YOU have it restricted. You can call them and usually they can go right into the system and add your physical address so you can make the purchase.
