Question

How can I save permanently videos ?

How can I save permanently videos that I see on the Internet ?
For example: There is a site that shows Korean videos 1 h drama. I guess this is called streaming; can I copy/save it permanently and how do I do it ?

If you are using Firefox, install an add-on called "DownloadHelper." This utility downloads streaming as well as standalone website videos. You can even change the video suffix if you wish.
I had no problems downloading your link.

RealPlayer will download videos seen in Safari.

Thank you so much. This is great. I guess once I download a video it is permanent, right ?
Maybe it is a silly question but I did download videos using "Save as -->archive" and of course when the video on the site was deleted, I had nothing. I did the same with photos until I learned to do
control-->click Save Image, now it is permanent.
I guess it's the same with video download ?

Another reason I ask is if it is so simple to just use Quick Time and it's free and it copy even without asking (all I have to do is watch) why so many ads for "capture videos ?"

You didn't download or save the video. You saved a web link to the video.

Yes.

That saved the web page, but that doesn't contain the actual video. That is sent by the server when needed.

Web sites often disable QuickTime's Save function, so you often need other ways to save video.
