Anybody else coming across this error/timeout? I finally found an address I could use to get signed up for 3G but it gave me this error before the process completed. Now when I hit "view account" it thinks for a while and says "AT&T is unable to process your request. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later (Q5033).
It's been a few hours now. Same message every time. Anyone else experience this and have a solution?
Yep, I am having this same problem right now. Have been trying for three hours but keep getting the same error message. Would love to know if there is something that can be done, or if I have to wait till morning to try again.
Bowfinger did you every have any luck with this issue? I just spent over 2 hours on the phone with both Apple and AT&T and they have no idea what is going on.
Same problem here in Houston. I made it through the sign up process then it shows the same message. I've been trying again for four hours with no luck. Is AT&T overloaded with requests for 3G service now?
Did any of you with this error need to enter an alternate email address? My sign up failed the first time because it said that the account already existed. I went through the process with another email address and then received that error.
No. I received the error message the first time that I tried to sign up for the service. It took all the information and started processing it. Then the error came up. It says to try again later.
I called ATT this morning and was on with them for about 40 minutes. Then got transferred to Apple. He told me to restart my computer and restore my iPad to the factory. I'm at work so I haven't been able to try it yet. Anybody else run into this issue?
Just want to add myself to the list of other who have this error. My trek started last night at 11:00pm pst . I went through the sign up process with out any problems then it tried to connect with at@T then got the Q5033 time out error message. Had apple call me back and the guy said problems was the servers are busy. well if that is true it should go through at some point but it has been over 11 hours. If anyone comes up with the solution please share. Thank you
I spent 2 hours on the phone with apple & AT&T and they have no solution. Here's what I've tried with no luck:
1. Restored iPad
2. Reset network settings.
3. Wi-fi off/on
4. Sim card out - restart
5. Reset network settings
6. Reset all settings.
7. Bang head against wall.
I restored the iPad to factory settings and that didn't help either. It may be AT&T's servers can't keep up with the requests. That wouldn't surprise me. It would be great if Apple or AT&T would admit to the problem so that we all don't think that our iPad's have a big problem. Other than this minor issue (I believe that someone will work out a solution eventually) the iPad is really great.
I just noticed this, under Settings > General > About, I have no phone number. I'm getting the Q5033 errors, but according to AT&T they see my registration as being completed, and that my iPad has been assigned a phone number.
The AT&T support person seems to think it is just a matter of waiting another hour and is going to call me back. We'll have to see how that goes.
I suspect this is just a bug in their registration processes where things get left uninitialized.
