Forgot password-Locked out

I set a password that I forgot and now I am locked out of my ipad . I connected to itunes and restored ipad twice but upon launch I keep getting asked for a passsword again . Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The passcode lock is not included with the iPhone's backup that is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, so I assumed it is not included with the iPad's backup either.

If no change after restoring your iPad from your iPad's backup, restore the iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.
