Importing calendar from Palm Desktop to ipad

My Palm Centro has failed to synch for quite some time, so I had been using the Palm desktop as my calendar. I would like to import the calendar into my ipad, but cannot seem to find a way to do so. I tried importing the dba file into Yahoo!Calendar with no success. Is there an easy way to do this? I have a Vista operating system. Thanks in advance for your help.

The iPad supports syncing direct with Outlook 2003 or 2007 for contacts and calendar events via the iTunes sync process with Windows. There are 3rd party options or a Palm option available for syncing Palm Desktop contacts and calendar events with Outlook or for exporting this data from the Palm Desktop in a format that is compatible for import by Outlook, or there should be. This is possible with the Palm Desktop software on a Mac.

Hi-I was able to do that this way: Open my calendar in palm desktop, choose File-Export- then choose module Datebook, Items All, format Vcal....save it to the desktop and then imported in iCal...which I then synched with my ipad. I was so relieved it worked! If you don't have iCal, maybe you can email the Vcal file to your iPad and open it in there directly? Good luck!

Hi--I don't see how I can save the Calendar datebook in vcard format. I just searched the export function for the calendar, and found this info:
Export Command (Date Book)

Purpose
Opens the Export As dialog where you can set file export options and export all your events from the Date Book

Location
Date Book File menu

Important
Date Book information can only be exported to Date Book Archive (*.dba) file format

So--I need to find a program that will read the dba file format.

Another option (that actually might be more difficult) is to get my darn Palm Centro to synch with my computer. I can then opt to synch it with Outlook and go from there! However, I have spent hours with the Palm on-line support service, to no avail. What a piece of junk.

Can anyone tell me how to convert a dba file to something that I can import into my Ipad?
