From initial reports, it seems like providers in other countries are not supporting the iPad yet.
can i use the ipad 3G in the philippines (if i buy it at the US)? will i be able to use the service providers here like globe or smart?

thanks tamara! =) question again, do you suggest i wait till they sell it in the philippines? or do you think that when the time comes that apple comes up with one that can be used in the philippines, i can have mine (bought now) updated or something?

The answer is YES and MAYBE.
The iPad 3G uses micro-sim card. Apparently, a micro-sim is just a standard sim with it's sides trimmed away, leaving only the metallic part.
The reason why I said YES is because I actually saw one using SmartBro and it worked!
I said MAYBE, on the other hand, because I haven't seen anyone use it with other networks (Tattoo, Sun, etc.).
I myself am buying the 64GB 3G in the US. I'm sharpening my hobby knife at the same time.
