Transferring photos from ipad to imac.

I bought the ipad to take on trips and use it to view and cache photos on it until I got home. When I got home I then planned to sync the photos on the ipad to my imac. I have tried various experiments to transfer photos from the ipad via the camera kit and sync cable. So far I have only been able to put pictures onto the ipad but have not had any luck getting them from the ipad to the imac. Any ideas?

Hello,
We just released Photo Transfer, an universal app (iPhone/iPadd) that lets you transfer multiple photos (up to 50 at one time) from your iPad to your Computer over wifi. You can also transfer photos from an iPhone or computer directly to your iPad. No cables and no other software required.

The app is currently in the top 25 iPad apps in the photography category. I hope you can check it out and find it useful:

Thanks Joel - this was helpful. Additional question - I have used the camera connection kit to also transfer video to my ipad with the intent to then upload to mobile me (while on the road) so my wife can view. problem is, movies will not play without downloading them. Any idea on this issue. (Movies will not play on owner mm gallery page or the public gallery page.

Last night I bought the photo transfer App mentioned below. I had a hard drive crash and had over 1200 pictures on my IPad. I used the App to transfer all my pics and some video back to my Mac g4. I did all this via mt wifi and it was effortless. This saved me many hours dealing with dvd's. The is the best app I have ever used. It actually does what it says it does and it is all done wireless. This morning I couldn't be happier. Yesterday I was a nervous wreck.
